Shaft Furnace

Shaft furnaces are used for melting copper cathodes and copper scrap. It consists of a vertical cylindrical chamber with burners located in the lower part of the furnace. These furnaces have operating temperatures of up to 1,200°C, which may increase in certain parts of the furnace.

Holding Furnace

Copper holding furnaces are necessary for the continuous casting process, which is used to solidify molten metal into a specific shape.

Refractory Linings

Saint-Gobain offers many types of refractory lining systems, including Cryston CU Max® , Twinfrax®, Cryston Max®, and Refrax ® and back up safety linings . Our engineered solutions offer a faster installation and turnaround solution with key benefits including superior life due to our patented Refractory products properties.
