These tubes have high mechanical integrity and homogeneity along with high thermal conductivity for use in a wide range of operating temperatures. Our original NICARB material is used in aluminium applications, and our CERTS-ZN material is used where high thermal inputs are required for heating Zinc baths where there is a far greater temperature differential between the hot inner wall and the cooler outer wall which is in contact with the zinc melt, an arduous application where our tubes perform well and represent world beating value for money.
Our technologies combine isostatic pressing and nitride bonding technologies which allows the manufacture of a range of immersion heater tubes which are based on Silicon Carbide grains.
In the adjacent picture, the darker grey tube is for zinc and the lighter grey tube is for aluminium.
OUR IMMERSION HEATER TUBES

IHT’s provide an efficient way to heat furnaces for melting and holding a range of metals without contaminating the bath. They are available in various diameters and lengths and can be made in bespoke sizes if required, please use the contact us page or send us an email if you have any questions.
Power can be applied by a nest of electrical heating elements, or the more commonly used recuperative gas fired systems where an internal firing tube directs the flow of combustion gasses around inside the tube, thereby maximising thermal efficiency and preventing uneven temperature distribution.
CERTS-ZN Carbon bonded SiC

CERTS-ZN Carbon bonded SiC has been developed to improve performance at the lower operating temperatures associated with Zinc melting and continuous wire galvanising baths.
-The introduction of flake graphite and protective body glazes precludes nitride bonding, but greatly increases thermal conductivity and reduces thermal stresses associated with high heat transfer.
-A glaze coating inside and out reduces the risk of oxidation causing low temperature degradation
NICARB – Nitride bonded SiC
NICARB – Nitride bonded SiC provides a range of operational benefits including:
- Wide range of sizes
- Extended lifetime as a result of stress free design and homogeneous structure
- No attack by molten aluminium
- High thermal conductivity allows lower internal temperatures
- High mechanical integrity maintained at high operating temperatures
- Available for electrical or recuperative gas heating systems
- Standard sizes and short delivery times available
