During wire galvanizing, steel wires are coated with molten zinc to achieve uniform corrosion-resistant coatings. Within wire galvanizing lines, CRYSTON silicon carbide wire guides, skidrails and immersion tubes withstand the thermal and mechanical stresses of the galvanization process. Such a combination of materials delivers consistent coating control, minimises wire damage, and extends equipment service life.

The high temperatures in strip galvanizing lines demand materials that can endure molten zinc corrosion and preserve coating precision. Our castables offer robust protection for zinc pots, resisting corrosion and thermal wear. Complementary zirconia and silicon nitride plates can also help regulate temperature uniformity and ensure consistent coating thickness across the galvanized steel strip.
