Furnace Top and Spout Solutions for Coreless Induction Furnaces

The spout of an induction furnace is a crucial part of the system, where molten metal is tapped and poured out. It must withstand high temperatures, erosion, and the corrosive nature of molten metal and slag to ensure the controlled flow of molten metal into ladles or molds for casting.

The top part of the furnace typically has openings or ports through which raw materials (such as scrap metal, DRI, and additives) are charged. It requires enough strength to withstand the mechanical damage caused by the charging of scrap and other raw materials.

Saint-Gobain PCR India is a leading provider of top-quality HeatKing™ ready-mixes for furnace top and spout applications in coreless induction furnaces.

Considering the challenges posed by both the furnace top and spout, our high-alumina-based, single-component refractory ready-mixes are specifically engineered for use in the upper region above the metal level in refractory-lined induction furnaces, where achieving proper sintering temperatures can be difficult.

Our ready-mixes are supplied in air-tight, heat-sealed HDPE bags, ready for immediate application. They are air-setting and exhibit excellent thermal shock resistance.
