Cryston® CERTS Thermocouple Sheaths
Saint-Gobain Performance Ceramics & Refractories as a range of technically superior and cost-effective thermocouple protection tubes for use in non-ferrous industries. We offer carbon bonded, nitride bonded products. This range meets all the needs arising from different production processes. Each material type combines the latest technical innovations and processing techniques.
Cryston® NICARB Thermocouple
Our standard grade Cryston® CERT material comprises high-purity graphite and SiC, bonded with carbon. This contains a complex glaze and antioxidant system that protects the graphite and carbon bond during service.
The tubes are isostatically pressed onto a closed-end threaded steel pipe, which provides an easily used industry standard 1/2″ or 3/4″ BSP hanger system.
Full mechanical strength and resistance to aluminium and its fluxes are developed during the firing process. -
