NORFLOW® Self-flowing Castable

The NORFLOW® castables range has been designed to be installed without using any installation tool, for example a vibrator.

The products are self flowing, meaning that customers are simply required to prepare the mix and pour it into the mold or area. The product will flow into all zones automatically.

Case Study

Norflow A 973 used to replace conventional low cement castable for open top ladle application.
Norflow® A 973 to Reduce Ladle Patching and Repair

Challenge: The castables has to be resistant to erosion and impact due to metal pouring into the ladle. It needs as well to reduce the ladle patching and repair.

FAQ

Are these products suitable for ladle relining?

Yes. Many customers using ladles have already switched to NORFLOW® castables – particularly NORFLOW® 973 - citing ease of installation and increased performance in ladle applications.

Is it necessary to add extra water for better flowability?

No. NORFLOW® mixes demonstrate equal or better performance versus traditional castables. Their innovative bonding system requires less water than traditional castables. Guidance on optimal added water ratios is available on product datasheets.
