Magmalox® Bricks
Magmalox® refers to a range of products manufactured by melting alumina ceramic power in an Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) at temperatures ranging from 2,000-2,500⁰C. The molten product then casted in molds, and kept to anneal for almost two week.
Saint Gobain Performance Ceramics & Refractories, is the only company globally to have a range of 4 different grades of fused cast blocks, that offers that much flexibility in tackling customer needs and solves challenging situations for the hearth of reheating furnaces. Magmalox® preserves the quality of the rolled steel, homogenizes the temperature of the reheated products and avoid build-up and nodule formation and sources of rejects. It offers longest campaign without surface defects and roughness even worn hearth and optimize repair time.
