Does Saint-Gobain Performance Ceramics & Refractories offer solutions for every zone of a furnace?
Yes. A full range of products is available covering each furnace zone and its related equipment, including working lining, spouts, inductor or cover. Products include: Dry vibrated cements (NORVIBE™) Various castables (NORCAST®, NORFAST™, NORFLOW®) Pre-cast shapes (NORSHAPE™) Special mixes (NORRAM™, NORGUN™) A range of related products is available to meet individual customer requirements.
Which products can address the issue of zinc infiltration close to the inductor when working with Zn-Mg alloy melting at temperatures under 500 °C?
The NORVIBE™ range has been specifically designed for installation around the inductor, with the NORVIBE™ A 126 A and NORVIBE™ K 130 ZN mixes being ideal for lower temperature applications. Both mixes exhibit excellent strength at lower temperatures, significantly reducing the risk of metal leakage and minimizing potential downtime.
