NORFAST® Fast-firing Castables
The NORFAST® product range includes a number of high performance castables specifically designed to reduce equipment downtime via high speed installation and short drying times. NORFAST® castables exhibit excellent mechanical strength and performance at high temperatures and when in contact with molten metal.
Their unique binder matrix enables incredible dry out performance, leading to overall installation time savings of up to 50%.

NORFAST® K 1031 is ideal for use with iron ladles requiring safe drying during heat up. The optimized packing size of the product is ideal for extending ladle service life while maintaining excellent thermal shock resistance.
Fast-firings castables are prepared in a similar fashion to standard castables - there is no specific preparation required.
NORFAST®’s unique properties stem from an innovative, chemically optimized matrix that avoids the release of water at high temperatures where the risk of failure is highest.
