The team at Saint-Gobain Performance Ceramics and Refractories have extensive knowledge of material science and application experience. This knowledge and experience have resulted in our ceramic lining solutions being the most cost-effective systems available on the market.
Under the umbrella of our wear-resistant technologies, we manufacture and customize our products based on customers’ abrasion, corrosion, and erosion requirements. Our solutions are routinely used to separate abrasive materials in over 200 of our own manufacturing plants. They are also used in a range of applications by some of the industry’s most respected OEMs because of the high reliability and sustainability, and the reduced contamination risk of the products.
Saint-Gobain Performance Ceramics & Refractories works in partnership with customers to co-develop dynamic ceramic lining solutions to solve virtually any wear-related equipment reliability issues. We also place strong importance on sustainability and have developed products that perform optimally. As a result, the instruments run for longer before requiring maintenance, and produce less waste material; therefore company downtime is reduced and throughput is increased.
Ceramic lining solutions are suitable for use with a range of equipment, including:
- Hydro and air cyclones
- Classifiers
- Screening components/screening tests
- Centrifuges
- Dust collectors/cyclone dust collectors/dust collection systems
Our solutions are manufactured with silicon carbide (SiC), which provides a number of crucial features such as abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, thermal insulation and electrical insulation. Additional equipment is not required to reduce the risk of contamination, which saves on extra materials and improves the quality of the products. In the long term, these features and advantages lead to more cost-effective and higher-performing solutions.

FAQ
Can ceramics resist vibrations like those typically experienced on a screen or vibratory feeder?
Yes. Saint-Gobain Performance Ceramics & Refractories has successfully installed ceramic linings on thousands of screens and vibratory feeders across a wide range of industries.
What is the typical equipment service life achievable with a ceramic lining solution?
Achievable equipment service life will be impacted by a number of factors, but in general, the use of an appropriate and correctly installed ceramic will ensure that any application is cost-effective.
