Ceramco, founded in 1997 in Scotland, has established itself as a leading player in ceramics for the non-ferrous metals melting and casting industries. Renowned for its expertise and advanced technical capabilities, Ceramco specializes in manufacturing carbon-bonded and silicon nitride materials. The company's technology and know-how have enabled the development of a range of high-quality products, including thermocouple protection sheaths, radiant heater protection tubes, immersion heater protection tubes, and various custom ceramic solutions.
Purpose of the acquisition
By integrating this expertise and differentiated technology, Saint-Gobain PCR strengthens its position in metallurgy in general, especially in “non-ferrous” as Zinc, Copper and Aluminium – metals highly demanded by the modern industry focused on electrification and light solutions and that can easily be recycled materials.
This acquisition is fully in line with the strategy of Saint-Gobain Ceramics, a global innovator in the world of technical ceramics who aims at engineering a better, safer and greener world.
Integrating this technology will enable Saint-Gobain PCR to offer superior thermal performance in immersion and burner solutions. Designed with a highly oxidation-resistant material, these tubes allow sustained thermal efficiency throughout their lifespan, stabilizing production processes and enhancing energy efficiency.
