Other suppliers lining solutions had major problems with heavy ash adhesion. This limited heat transfer and thus gave a very poor efficiency for the boiler. There were additionally Health and Safety concerns related to dangerous conditions encountered at inspections or during boiler maintenance. The old system with potential for the heavy ash / slag build-up in upper levels falling could endangering personnel when they entered the boiler. |
