Beyond the industrial applications in which they have long been installed, Crystar® FT ceramic membranes are experiencing strong growth in the water treatment field. Indeed, worldwide regulations regarding wastewater discharge (municipal and industrial) and drinking water quality are increasingly stringent, especially in water-stressed areas. They require the use improved and more sustainable filtration technologies.
Crystar® FT crossflow microfiltration membranes are particularly well suited for the treatment of aggressive and difficult industrial effluents. Their productivity and robustness offer an efficient and reliable filtration solution that, combined with other purification steps, allows for environmental protection or reuse of water in closed loop circuit.
Crystar® FT dead-end microfiltration membranes are already present in many aquatic centers. They improve water quality and safety for the well-being of swimmers, while reducing operating costs and the environmental footprint of the facilities, thanks to lower water and energy consumption.
The same membrane technology is also going through qualification programs in other applications such as municipal wastewater reuse and water polishing upstream reverse osmosis for seawater desalination.
