Carbofrax 8S Mortar is a high purity silicon carbide based mortar initially developed for non-ferrous applications. 8S Mortar develops excellent strength with increased temperature and has a very high coefficient of thermal conductivity which makes this material an excellent choice as a general purpose castable where heat dissipation is required. It is ideal for use as a deck plate castable in aluminium reduction cells.
